When a pirate curse from the past threatens NASA’s future, a code-cracking kid with OCD—and his gutsy twin sister—time hop to 1719 to hijack a coded treasure map, outwit a cutthroat captain, and unravel a complex cipher… before his astronaut dreams go KABOOM. #questpit#MG#Q
@MadelynKnecht Yes! I just wrote the book I needed when I was a kid. It’s honest, authentic, and I hope it does find the shelves of school libraries soon…
@vickyweberbooks Ugh. For someone who finally followed my heart and took the plunge to explore this career, I will admit to feeling a bit disheartened, especially as a kidlit author. Fingers crossed for the economy to pick up! Thanks, Vicki!
@AmyNielsen06 I bet they do. With the unpublished manuscripts, it’s like the kids are getting a sneak peak/listen to something that everyone else hasn’t. How fun!
@vickyweberbooks We did Disney when our twins were 5.5. The things that saved us in lines… snacks, iSpy, 20 questions, more snacks, Mad Libs, and books!
@ElisaSaphier Yes! Ski mountaineering. You definitely need to check it out. Apparently it’s been part of the World Cup circuit in Europe for a while, but brand new at the Olympics. Super fun! I hope they keep it.
A duck chose a school as home & returns every year to lay her eggs. When they hatch she leads the ducklings through the corridors to the courtyard lake. It’s now an annual ritual with children staying silent out of respect. Respect is beautiful.
