The original pitch for what evolved into Pat McAfee aligning with Randy Orton was meant to be Aleister Black in McAfee’s spot:
“The role would have involved Aleister Black tormenting Orton, trying to bring out the old Apex Predator version of Orton. The idea was that if Black succeeded, it would prove Orton had never changed or evolved and was still the old Orton deep inside. We are told the idea was that Black and Orton would face off Mania weekend, with Orton hesitating to use his punt kick and likely lose, but then later attack Cody Rhodes as a WrestleMania angle, using the punt to bring back the old Apex Predator and prove Black right all along.”

So any notion of benching Penix when he's playing, on the whole, relatively average football, is ridiculous to me. The #Falcons signed up for this, now they gotta let it play out. And any insistence otherwise is just foolish at this point.
It's entirely possible Penix is an average starter only, or a below-average starter, or a good starter. At this point, we have no idea. I think he's been largely average overall, which is perfectly fine for a first-year starter.
There is zero argument for believing Penix "is what he is" at this point. We've seen QBs take meaningful steps on their *second contracts*, thanks to better coaching and situation. Anyone who says they know what Penix (or any QB) is after 9 games, or even a season, is guessing.
@therealiceman11@dominikaiello@TopFBPosts U just undercutting how crazy it is to in 5 years have more tds than everyone else damn near in 10. It don’t matter how many current players were active then that stat is fucking wild
Let’s take an in-depth look at this Falcons defense… who the hell are these guys???
I call them THE BLANK SQUAD and they are freakin’ BAD ASS!!! Get to know ‘em!! https://t.co/oKlVZh8fBe
