Our paper on #lead exposures during military firearms training is out. Even low exposures for relatively short durations (in this case 9 days) increased cadets' blood lead levels: https://t.co/ArjZBdQIZM
#Socioscientific issues are an integral part of today’s #scienceeducation and often connect to #risk, which presents an opportunity for risk researchers to engage in teaching about risk analysis. Read more by @DrLSchenk in Risk Analysis: https://t.co/kvwCqgxuhN
@thoefler@epigramhs Thanks for the question @thoefler. It's hard to say, as FPGAs often lag behind GPUs in terms of technology (nm, ext.mem be, ...), and we have to rely on models to reason around "apple-to-apple" comparisons. Perhaps this technology gap will be bridged when Moore's law ends?
How to accelerate Spectral Element Methods on FPGAs, including projecting performance of future (and hypothetical) FPGAs that could outperform even the most recent GPUs (V100/A100). https://t.co/GqTdrvWw7I
In press! Proof-of-concept for a method to measure skin permeation of several metals continuously during ongoing exposure to a mixture of metals: https://t.co/NFxrvoUiKp
