We treat nutrition like common sense. Something people just pick up.
It isn't. It's taught.
And somewhere along the way, we decided it wasn't worth teaching.
A few years back, I was told we were conducting a nutrition workshop at one of the most affluent colleges in South Mumbai.
I didn't think we'd find much. Good families, good college, food available whenever they wanted. I walked in expecting mild gaps. Nothing worrisome.
NFHS data shows anemia prevalence in Indian women has increased over the past decade. Rural women are more affected but urban numbers went up too.
It's not a rural problem or a poverty problem. It's everywhere. Including in that room.
None of us were running at @TataMumMarathon so we put up an aid station instead.
It was all kinds of fun! Experiencing the spirit of Mumbai and running community together is so wholesome 🥹.

The amount of food I carry for a 20 hr flight as a gluten and dairy intolerant person!
Unfortunately, the standard flight meal options have either gluten free or dairy free but not both. So, I barely get food on planes and mostly need to carry my own.
The numbers for #TMM2026@TataMumMarathon are out, and the data tells a story of its own. A story of growth and speed!
Here are the 5 Key Highlights from the our analysis 👇
1️⃣ The Marathon Boom is Real. While the Half Marathon stabilized, the Full Marathon field grew by 22%!
• FM Finishers: 11,630
• HM Finishers: 12,646
2️⃣ We are getting FASTER. The "Sub-3 Club" hit a record high with 77 runners breaking the 3-hour barrier. Even more impressive? The median time for the Top 100 dropped to 2:55:00 that’s 4 minutes faster than just 3 years ago! The Indian amateur baseline is rising.
3️⃣ Age is just a number (and an advantage). In the Half Marathon, youth (18-24) dominates speed. But in the Full Marathon? Experience wins. The 18-24 group was significantly slower, while the 45-49 age group clocked the fastest median times.
4️⃣ The Coastal Road Effect: The second half of TMM is notorious, and the new route added to the challenge. Negative splits were almost non-existent. In the Sub-4 hour FM group, only 142 runners managed to run the second half faster than the first. Pacing remains the ultimate test in the new route.
There is so much more data in the full post, including the "5-hour bus" phenomenon and detailed age-category breakdowns.

If you think the primary of aim of working out is weight loss, here’s something that might change your mind.
Last couple of years were pretty bad when it came to health.
I was battling too many pains and chronic issues. There were days that were hard to get through.
I didn’t chase any numbers on the scale but just started enjoying the process a lot more.
Every day that I could workout, it felt like a privilege and brought so much joy.
