@Disneyland I love you and I’m so excited to be here today for my 33rd birthday, but ya did me dirty. You took away the best treat in the park—the pineapple lumpia from Tropical Hideaway! Bring her back!!!!!
I absolutely hate when people include a photo in a Facebook post and then say, “photo included for tax.” We all know how algorithms work. Stop being annoying.
@Beckyscake@oldenoughtosay And then when they said I couldn’t attempt a vaginal delivery with subsequent children due to complications during the c-section I was even more relieved because my first experience was miserable and I never wanted to do that again.
@Beckyscake@oldenoughtosay After 30 hours (24 hours of very active labor, contractions every 2-5 minutes), en epidural only 2 hours of that (because I wasn’t progressing and they wouldn’t do one until I was at at 5 cm), and 4 hours of pushing I was ready too. And I was terrified of a c before labor.
I used to wash and style my hair every day. Now I wash it once a week and if it doesn’t get curled by day 3 I’m like, “I will not be doing my hair this week; it is not worth the effort for less than 4 days of good looking hair, thank you.”
@rachelsteenblik It’s okay to let kids quit something as long as it isn’t a habit. I think it’s a good life lesson to learn our limits and to be able to make a change if something isn’t working. It might mean there are other consequences—like they can’t do a new activity because $. Which is okay.
@rachelsteenblik My mom made us finish everything we started except when I wanted to quit swim team. And I’m glad she let me quit. I hated it. I didn’t comprehend that swim team was hard work and not just having fun at the pool. Maybe your kid’s vision of the activity was very different?
@jessiejensen They’ve put a ton of emphasis on being audited and I’m not sure if just our stake was audited or if this is a snowball from the recent fine and investment case and changes are trickling down. But there has been a different and weird energy regarding budgets in my stake this year.
@jessiejensen Our stake made it very clear that any funds we raised had to be used this year and if they weren’t they would be lost. Our budget is also smaller this year in general and we added 2 girls. Something seems off, but not sure what it is and if it’s church wide or just some stakes.
@Krystlekathie@FitFounder I just started seeing a physical therapist for lower back pain. She said mine is from having kids/c-sections (non-c-section moms can have the same symptoms) and as a result having less abdominal strength and less gluten strength. She has me strengthening my core and glutes.
I did 30 squats with a 8 pound kettle bell and then a rowing machine at a moderate pace for 5 minutes yesterday and my legs feel like I did 16,000 squats if anyone is wondering how out of shape I am.
My children do not have great birthstones so I will never show my love for them with birth month gemstone themed jewelry. My love cannot overcome the combination of emerald and amethyst.
