This a country where salaries are not paid, even the salaries are not up to 3% of your house rent. Sometimes I ask how do common man survive? Someone once call it a sheet whole country.

Renting a house in Nigeria is laughable yet its real. You will be asked to pay 50% of the renting amount to agent, agreement fees 20% then caution fee 10% promising to refund when living but that is history.

You can't rent a good house in Nigeria yet you have to steal to pay for unpainted, unfixed and some had no light in them.
