Shortly after 8pm last night, two city fire crews responded to a report of a fire alarm sounding at an elementary school in East Saint John. Upon arrival, Engine 2 discovered heavy smoke coming from inside the school.

Crews responded to reports of a building fire in Saint John’s North End early this morning.
Ladder Co. 5 and it’s crew from Adelaide Street were first on the scene and worked fast to advance a hoseline inside the building to bring the fire under control quickly.
