@RacingPost How can these rules possibly apply on the track itself. Imagine Royal Ascot recently stopping people betting £3000 and upwards??? I think the betting shops in the high streets will start closing even more rapidly than they are now unless the industry as a whole makes a stand!!!

@barkingmadryan I totally agree Ryan, narrow minded to think horse racing won’t eventually succumb if they achieve that with greyhound racing. My hope is they both thrive but they need to work extremely hard to achieve that and double up the effort!!

@KallumPickering The question is whether Andy Burnham will fix the bloated public spending or in fact make this worse? Nationalising public companies at the taxpayers expense probably won’t help on the spending front. So how do we get growth under a possible more left wing Labour Party???

@FinanceTiger I’m not so sure as there were also rumours about Aviva a few years back but Amanda and team successfully turned that around. The other option is the break up of L&G and selling off individually, so there is always a way!!!

@Hawkeye_74 Buyback and Dividend good and what was expected but 2nd Half numbers all worse than the first half of 2025. I continue to hold but the numbers are not exactly inspiring, here’s hoping one day they post a really good year!!
