I was seven?! This is one of the earliest non-PBS shows I deeply remember tuning in to watch consistently with my sisters and my dad. And only JUST got to cosplay Sokka and Katara with my sister this past weekend. We were little native kids who loved these water tribe siblings 💕

Every time I discuss race-facing I get accused of changing my skin color for cosplay too. Lemme let you guys in on something.

I have photos where I’m darker. And photos where I’m pale. But, do these colors match the characters’ canon skin color? NO. THAT is the difference.
