Can someone help me out?
Getting good soft metrics, $19 cpm, 59 cent cpc, 3.45 CTR, but no sales or even add to carts.
native image ads with long form text copy, going to a hybrid listicle/advertorial. Supplement niche, ad account is in CAD btw.
The only reason I'm not going ham with my own DTC supplement brand right now is because I don't want to spend all the time to find and source a great product.
Calls with product teams and R&D people. 12-18 week lead times for a first production run. Really, really good ingredients in the best forms and right dosages for proven efficacy.
At some point I'll probably do it, but just thinking of the above zaps all my excitement or desire.
Younger me would have just found some dubious on-demand supplement and ran wild. He'd be doing millions per month right now with decent margins, telling himself the on-demand product was "good enough" or "probably an overall net positive" for the consumer.
Older me feels very strongly about only selling products I really believe in.
The curse of experience I guess...
@Peter_Quadrel half my budget is going to age 55+ audiences who aren't really my target demographic, but the type of people liking the posts on instagram seem to fit
Day 1 Update:
spent 1k, zero sales, but 3 people reached checkout. The caurosel ad randomly got like 500 clicks in one minute right after midnight, so the stats are kind of off. If I get similar results today ill step back and switch optimization to Add to Cart. My CPM's arent crazy though, around 50usd. CPCs when removing the outlier are 3.60usd. Think I just have to let it run for a couple of days and not freak out over one day of results.
Ads go live at midnight for a new brand I'm starting. Niche sport, $500 AOV, 60% gross margin. A couple months ago I saw a guy driving a GT3RS show up to play, using the same trash gear a middle schooler would use.
That's the gap in the market this brand fills. I don't have inventory yet, so doing pre-orders to fund the bulk order. Following @Peter_Quadrel new account guide:
- 1 CBO campaign, 1 ad set for 1 product
- 1k/day budget based on average luxury/premium CPA in the niche
- Highest Volume, broad + few suggested audiences
- All 3 attribution windows
- 10 creatives across distinct angles
- Purchase optimization
I believe in the product enough to bet on it, but dont have the budget to test at 1k/day for weeks. If I dont get promising results after this weekend, i'll kill it and figure out next steps.

@StefanGeorgi Might have been an issue with the prompt, you put "brain" in quotes twice, maybe it focussed too hard on that. Idk if you needed the "keep this image exactly the same" either. if you tap show thinking you can see its process and how it understood your prompt.
