I'm talking here about the token launcher part zora but the subject also concerns the token launcher by base yesterday "Jesse on bankless" and several others, I won't name them all.

What could have been an innovative community experiment turned into a brutal demonstration of market mechanics in a context of ultra-low liquidity.

The token was launched in an atmosphere of intense FOMO. Very quickly, sniper bots took control of the initial supply, exploiting the slightest flaw in the launch timing. Within minutes, the token had already reached a market cap of $4.5 million – a violent pump, typical of ZK-first cycles on Base, fueled by the excitement around Zora and the "meme + infrastructure" hype.

But as is often the case in such cases, the lack of defense mechanisms against snipers (anti-bot, liquidity lock, vesting, etc.) proved fatal. Early entrants – almost exclusively bots – began to dump en masse, causing a systematic sell-off. In less than 24 hours, the token experienced a 96% correction, falling back to a market cap of around 150,000. A freefall.

Why was no mitigation strategy implemented?

Was this a purely experimental launch or a serious attempt to build on Zora?

Will the Shiba community view this episode as a "soft rug" or a simple misstep?

Conclusion: This launch once again illustrates the fragility of unprepared tokens in the face of DeFi dynamics. Good storytelling is no longer enough. Without robust tokenomics and an anti-sniping strategy, even projects with a strong brand can be crushed in a few blocks.
