Read our guest blog by barrister @evesrobinson explaining how her participation at the age of 13 in the Mock Trial Competition sparked her journey to a career at the Bar. The compeition was first started in 1989 and is now organised by @YoungCitizensUK

It was taking part in this competition at school, and subsequently helping the years below me during theirs, which set me on my path to becoming a Barrister. An invaluable experience, which I could not recommend more. Long may it continue๐๐ป

It has been exciting and rewarding to develop and launch #CourtInAction for young people in Devon and Cornwall this year. The project has allowed us to facilitate meaningful interactions with schools and the CJS while supporting teachers to deliver #PLE effectively in classrooms.
โThe education system should do more to develop young peopleโs knowledge of the justice system."
Thanks to Sir Brian Leveson, ex-Head of #CriminalJustice, for backing our new programme with @DC_PCC, Court in Action โ๏ธ
