I worked at MicroProse studios from 1988-1993. I worked at id Software from 1993-1997. I worked at Ensemble Studios from 1997-2009. All three studios had amazing and talented teams.

Niles (see below) is 100% correct. You can't conjure lightning in the same bottle again. Those teams will never return. But the good news is you can create new teams with new abilities and dreams.

DDR5 RAM prices are getting ridiculous.

New pricing data from Germany shows the average price of DDR5 memory has climbed to almost five times the July 2025 level, August has been worse

The increase is steep: a 32GB DDR5-6000 kit that cost around €208 in July 2025 has recently approached €1,000 in Germany.

For a budget PC build, RAM could become one of the most painful upgrade costs. Prices may keep climbing if supply does not improve.

Sony can’t catch a break! GOG posted a statement on X regarding the important of discs for video games, amidst Sony’s attempt at ending physical media🚀

“Download the offline installer of any of your games on GOG, save it to a disc, and it's yours forever. You don't need a storefront's permission to play what you bought.”

✅GOG is known for their DRM-free games which become yours once you buy them

✅They allow you to download offline installers for every game, and even copy it on a disc to keep it forever
