Here are 30 no-BS life hacks I've amassed in the last decade that has helped me:
The depreciation itself was quite rapid to be genuine too, so I believe it's not unreasonable that it appreciates just as fast. That said, It's been a series of things the CBN has done over the last few weeks:
1. Restriction of the net open positions of banks for foreign currency (the banks can't hold FX as much or as long as they want anymore)
2. Restoration of the 43 items allowing them access FX
3. Repayment of backlog of FX owed
4. Increase of interest rates by 6% over 2 MPC meetings which have made our money market very attractive to foreign portfolio investors.
5. Resumption of sale of FX to BDCs
Other factors include more control over the P2P space by restricting Binance and IMTO reforms.
Essentially, there's been more confidence as a result of these and we've gotten a lot USD in the last few weeks that has allowed the CBN to continue with its floatation management of our currency.
