Then there’s the sanctimonious call for separate votes on disaster relief for farmers and hurricane victims. Sounds noble, right? Except, historically, Marjorie’s been more about political stunts than real solutions. She’s the first to scream “pork” and the last to back aid that doesn’t fit her narrative. Let’s not forget: a clean CR doesn’t fund pet projects; it keeps the government’s lights on. The very farmers and disaster victims she’s posturing to defend depend on that.

And this “we work for the American people” line? Please. If she really worked for the people, she wouldn’t be gumming up the works with grandstanding while pushing nonsense about mandates that don’t exist. Trump didn’t get a mandate; he lost the popular vote the first time and this time he received approximately 49.8% of the popular vote, falling short of a majority. Mandates don’t come from Twitter threads, they come from doing the job, and that means compromise, not tantrums.

So, Marjorie, spare us the crocodile tears. If you want to fix the process, start by showing up, engaging with your colleagues, and getting off social media long enough to do the work. Because right now, the only thing you’re proving is that you’re better at making noise, not solutions.
