@yajnshri Yes, I do remember dialling this way in late 80s and 90s. The eerie sound of dialling made us feel priviledged, not many homes were having it those days
Take a bow @apollotyres for perhaps one of the finest TVCs in a long long time: a perfect blend of astute brand marketing intertwined with raw emotion delivered superbly…this is a must-see. Kudos @iamneerajkanwar and team…
His name was Satyendra Nath Bose.
He was born in Calcutta in 1894. From his school days, he was the kind of student who stood first in almost everything, especially mathematics.
In 1924, while teaching at the University of Dhaka, he found a completely new way to explain how particles of light behave.
He wrote a paper describing his idea and sent it to a leading British scientific journal.
It was rejected.
Most people would have stopped there.
Instead, Bose mailed the paper directly to Albert Einstein in Germany.
Einstein immediately recognised its importance. He translated the paper into German himself and arranged for it to be published.
The two men then extended the work together.
Today, it is known as Bose Einstein statistics, and it laid the foundation for an entirely new state of matter that scientists finally created in a laboratory in 1995.
There is now a whole family of particles in the universe that obey his rules.
Physicists named them bosons, after Bose.
When the Higgs boson was discovered in 2012, his name was already part of one of the greatest discoveries in modern physics.
Around seven Nobel Prizes have since been awarded for work built on the ideas he first introduced.
Bose himself never received one.
He never even earned a PhD, yet he became a Fellow of the Royal Society, one of the highest honours in science.
When someone once asked whether not winning the Nobel Prize bothered him, he simply replied that he had received all the recognition he deserved.
A paper one journal rejected went on to change physics forever.

Maharishi Sushruta had identified mosquitoes as the cause of malaria as far back as 1500 BCE.
For the next 3300 years, the West thought that malaria was caused by bad smells (mala aria).
🚨 2,600 YEARS LATER, THE WORLD HONOURS SUSHRUTA
A 90 kg bronze statue of ancient Indian surgeon Sushruta has been unveiled at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
— He invented Surgery. What a tribute💥🇮🇳

Today, on my final day as Director of National Intelligence, I’m releasing never-before-seen communications and documents exposing how Dr. Fauci provided millions in US taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, worked with politicized elements within the Intelligence Community to suppress the truth about his actions and hide the virus’ lab-leak origins, and lied to Congress while under oath in 2024. It’s time you know the truth.
