Our last ewe gave birth today to one ewe lamb and one ram lamb. We went 4/4 unassisted this year!

Trying Cornish cross meat birds for the first time. Grabbed these chicks at our local feed store. Thankful we found them!

It’s officially lambing season on our homestead! So far 2 of our 4 ewes have delivered and both were unassisted. The first one had 1 ram lamb 🐑 and the second had 3 RAM LAMBS! 🐑🐑🐑

This will be our third lambing season and one thing we’ve learned is to shear the sheep before they give birth. It’s cleaner for the mamas and it’s easier for the babies to find the teats.
