@KouMurayama@FlorianBuehler Ah turns out this abstract is a bit misleading! Looking at their actual data, the results are very conclusive in LaTeX's favor for equations. When comparing experts, more typeset equations were produced (by a lot). And errors in MS Word were +1 std dev more than in Tex!!
“We show that LaTeX users were slower than Word users, wrote less text in the same amount of time, and produced more typesetting, orthographical, grammatical, and formatting errors. “

Our colleagues in this thread who say -
"the publisher is making money off my free labor, so I'm not doing peer review anymore" -
Then who is reviewing *your* paper?
Submitting your articles w/o reviewing for others offloads work onto colleagues. (For now.)

Has anyone else gotten phishing emails pretending to be @FrontiersIn requesting sketchy payment for APCs? Co-authors and I almost fell for it, surprisingly sophisticated.
Are open access APC scam emails a thing now?
