Kurt Wiese was born on this day, April 22, in 1887.

Most known for illustrating “The Story of Ping”, Wiese (who was a POW during WWI) created more than three hundred children’s books—earning two Caldecott Honors and four Newbery Honors.

It is a good reason to persevere (prove them wrong!), or reflect and revise (maybe they made good points about your work), or just simply take a break. 👊
