@InstagramComms Anyone else here who also, before checking the news, stupidly and blindly followed the "disagree with decision" procedure? I'm dead worried that something might go wrong with the verification (i.e, I never before added a phone number to my account, or just the selfie may be bad)
@InstagramComms My account is currently being checked. The question is, dear @instagram & @InstagramComms, will you take into account that it was blocked due to a major issue and let me use Instagram again? Please make sure you don't permanently block me, or anyone else, because of a bad selfie
@InstagramComms next, I followed the guidelines on how to get my accout back. This included using a phone number (although I never connected my instagram to any phone number), and sending the selfie with my name (as mentioned on Instagram), username and the code I received.
@jgmaber The second option, I believe, with the training limited to some boorish man reading a bunch of standard instructions. Like the one in that video from Buryatia
Now showing: JEAN-LUC GODARD ON THE DICK CAVETT SHOW, a personal tour of the filmmaker’s intellect and personality, every minute devoted to fresh ideas, killer bon mots, and a miniature history of auteurism.
For one week on https://t.co/ze1aiGmvQ5.
Godard's passing is so sudden (despite the 91 years of age) that I just can't believe it, and it's the case when someone's death, although you didn't have the fortune to know them in person, makes you feel orphaned, in a world bereft of so much wit and wisdom in one go.
@Dado3615 although actually Le Petit Soldat is one of my absolute favourites. and so is Masculin Feminin (Wes Anderson's 'The French Dispatch', its second story in particular, took a lot, a lot of inspiration from it. And a song from the soundtrack lol)
@Dado3615 thanks. It's never too late to discover his works! (like, I discovered one of my fav writers, Milorad Pavić, only after reading the obituary)
I'd probably suggest starting with his 1960s classics like Breathless, Alphaville, Pierrot le Fou, Band of Outsiders, then moving to 1980s
