Yesterday, Georgia Reads Day was in full swing at Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy! 📖

Councilmember Eshe Collins joined Atlanta Board of Education Chair Jessica Johnson and Principal Melanie Sitole for a special day celebrating the joy and power of reading. They stepped into kindergarten and 3rd grade classrooms to see the Accelerated Literacy Model in action and even joined students in the library for a special read-aloud!

From classrooms to story time, students showed us that reading is an adventure worth taking! 🚀

- #1 in Metro Atlanta for year-over-year growth across all tested EOG subjects
- The fastest-improving school district in Metro Atlanta
- 900 more students achieve proficiency or above in math
- More than doubling Georgia’s year-over-year growth on EOG assessments
- Reaching all-time highs in math, social studies, and Algebra I proficiency

We are so excited and PROUD of our scholars. All week we have celebrated the grit and focus they have shown all year long! There were hard moments, of course, but we kept pushing & here we are, standing tall & proud. We are so thankful for the love and support of our TAG village!

Because excellence deserves to be celebrated, our scholars are headed to Disney World! From showing grit in the classroom to making magic happen on the assessment, our students earned every moment of this experience! Disney... here we come!
