Everyone is posting the exact same launch photo today, so I'll talk about what’s actually cool about Vikram-1 that geeks me out.

​First, the entire rocket is carbon composite, even the motor casings. Most launch vehicles still rely on aluminum and steel. Carbon fiber is incredibly light and strong, but it’s a total nightmare to engineer, which is why almost nobody builds a fully composite rocket. Skyroot nailed it on their very first try.

​Second, the upper stage engine is entirely 3D printed; it completely changes the game for production. Instead of waiting months for hundreds of machined parts, they can print a finished engine in days at half the weight. That is the reason a monthly launch cadence is even on the table.

​Plus, that upper stage can restart mid-flight. That means a single launch can drop different satellites into totally different orbits, which is exactly what small-sat companies pay a premium for.

​But the biggest deal is the strategic angle. Because it uses solid fuel, you can keep the rocket ready to go and launch on short notice without needing a massive launchpad. Right now, that’s just a great commercial selling point. In a few years, it becomes a massive national asset - the ability to replace a satellite in days if you need to.

​This is a huge moment for Indian engineering. Massive congrats to Pawan, Bharath, and the entire Skyroot team.

Very true Sir. Got into a new category after 60 years of our existence and it's has been slow but rewarding. Fortune favours the brave and those who persevere. Very aptly put, gives us more confidence.

If you can't wait 5 months for your first customer, don't build a manufacturing business in India.

Buyers compare every supplier.

Negotiate every quote.

And keep searching for a better price.

The process is painfully slow.

But here's what I've learned...

The first order is the hardest.

Once you've earned their trust, everything changes.

Repeat POs start flowing.

Every few days, another order lands.

The biggest challenge is winning that first customer.

Another thing surprised me:

Happy B2B customers rarely switch suppliers.

If you deliver consistent quality, answer calls, reply on time, and solve problems quickly, they tend to stay.

Good service is still a competitive advantage.

We've also stopped competing in crowded categories.

Instead of making products everyone else sells, we're building products that are harder to source.

That shifts the relationship.

Customers depend on you.

And when it happens, conversations around pricing and payments become much easier.

It's still early for us, but one lesson keeps repeating itself:

Indian B2B rewards patience.

The first order takes months.

The next 100 come much faster.

Now that the knockout draw is final, few possible mouth watering matches in the Round of 16

France vs Germany
Portugal vs Spain

Even round of 32 will have few brilliant fixtures

Netherlands vs Morocco
Japan vs Brazil

On paper, Argentina has the easiest path to the semis ( Columbia is the most difficult team in that quarter of the draw)

But again football is rarely played on paper

The other big story is that 9 african teams have qualified for the round of 32. Absolutely brilliant
