Anyway, here’s me trying to be a better person. I might slip off a few times before, I know I did. But I’m trying to be better in taking care of my own responsibility emotionally, physically and financially. Here’s to the healthier version of me. Cheers.
A person can love you and still make you feel unsafe. That is one of the hardest truths to accept. Their feelings may be real, but their patterns may still be harmful. A partner that does not protect your nervous system eventually becomes another form of pain.
i may not have been perfect, but everything I gave you came from a genuine place. I listened when you had no one else to talk to. I saw the good in you even on the days you couldn’t see it in yourself. I stayed when walking away would have been easier, and I forgave when holding onto anger felt justified.
I never loved you for what I could get out of it. I loved you because I truly wanted to see you happy and at peace, even if that peace didn’t include me. I showed up consistently when others only showed up when it was convenient for them.
I gave you patience, understanding, and a safe space without ever keeping score.
One day, when life shows you how rare it is to find someone who loves you without conditions or hidden motives, you’ll think of me. You’ll remember the way I cared for you even when you gave me very little in return.
And you’ll realize that losing me wasn’t just losing a person it was losing someone who only ever wanted the best for you, even when you didn’t choose me.
It’s okay to love someone with your whole heart and still accept that you’re not meant to be together. Some people are meant to change you, teach you, and be part of your story, even if they’re not meant to stay forever.
One thing I’m not doing again is helping a man build a fantasy with me just for him to wake up one day and choose somebody else. Then I’m left grieving the future we planned while he’s already selling it to the next person.
You can do everything right and still be replaced, outgrown, or chosen less. Relationships are not always a reward for effort...they’re a match of timing, needs, and emotional alignment
