Pregnancy in the pandemic: a thread (1/ a lot). The NHS has finally changed its guidance to say women should be allowed to have their partner there 'at all times': scans, in labour ward from the start and not just for 'active labour'. I gave birth 8 days ago.
Let us be clear: women should not be ‘involved’ in decisions about their health care; they should be MAKING them. As health professionals our duty is to give unbiased, evidence-based advice, and to support women in whatever decision is right for them. #womenshealth
Interesting to see the fathers role being reflected in an Indian journal. A role of care nurture and support for mother and baby. And in that theme waterbirth as a gentle form of irthing is advocated. Although i could not find it in this link... https://t.co/xmm3nCQK8m
