Lots of big changes to Aquameta, bundle has been rewritten for the um fourth time? Content-addressed storage, full Merkle tree, separate physical and logical backends, pluggable layouts. Meta-triggers are dead, replaced with a full-fledged schema management and migration system.
Aquameta + Claude etc is truly amazing, it's the most trivially inspectable platform I've ever used, agents love it. Built a fully playable, evented multiplayer Settlers of Catan clone in... three hours? Flirting with 3d.
Version 0.5 of the meta system catalog will support compound (multi-column) primary keys in meta.row_id, meta.field_id. The scourge has been eradicated.
Version 0.4 of Aquameta is out! Deep refactor to flatten meta-identifiers. Also resurrection of pgfs, which makes PostgreSQL accessible via the filesystem.

Flatting the meta-identifiers in meta, the writable system catalog. Big refactor, much progress. Image is of the difference between nested composite types and flat ones, in a bundle export.

Release: v0.3.0 of the meta and meta_triggers extensions, a friendlier, more readable (and writable with triggers) system catalog for @PostgreSQL. Still experimental! Preparing for a rewrite.

Thinking about improving "programming" I inevitably fall into the rabbit hole of improving the "product of programming".
What's the point of a better language/system if we'll all just build more siloed apps? Import, export, upload, dance, repeat.
Design the environment first!
The Aquameta project now has a podcast! Today is an introduction to the Aquameta project, talking about why we need to move the dev stack into the database.

Ack! The Aquameta bundle hub has been down for a few days! If you've tried to do an online install and it didn't work, that's why. Will resurrect shortly, until then, offline install should work.
