@leahfrombklyn This. My brother and I put ourselves thru college and now caregive + house our grandmother who raised us and her mentally ill son. Growing up outliers our whole life—it’s exhausting with our littles to raise. Will be interesting to see our counterparts when they get to caregiving

@conz That you got help was so key. Thanks for sharing your story; you are alive to tell the tale is a feat in and of itself. I was a first-time mom to twins and grew up an orphan. My husband’s PTO ended after 3 weeks. I came close myself but remembered my childhood without a mom.
