💔 Georgian volunteer David Kukchishvili has been killed while fighting against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

He gave his life defending Ukraine’s freedom, independence, and the principles he believed were worth fighting for.

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, an estimated several hundred Georgian volunteers have traveled to Ukraine to fight, making Georgia one of the largest sources of foreign volunteers supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Bound by their own experience of Russian aggression, many chose to stand with Ukraine, believing its fight is also their own.

Today, Ukraine has lost another brother in arms.

Our deepest condolences go to David Kukchishvili’s family, friends, and comrades.

May he rest in peace.
