@humantransit Agree it’s essential to check. I checked Google image search & it seems to have done better, see the attached screenshot. It depends too on which model you used. Here is what Claude Opus 4.8 High gave me also a screenshot.
@binarybits Traffic crashes increased nearly everywhere in the US during that time. % increase is insufficient to support their conclusions, a rate is a better measure. Waymo didn’t operate in whole city area, so restricting analysis to those areas or comparing them would be useful.

ESCALA (Urban Health and Climate Change in Informal Settlements in Latin America Study) was funded by the @LacunaFund, @drexeluhc @EpiAndes & @UninorteCO combined health, climate & environment data in Barranquilla & Bogota @drexelpubhealth

As an injury epidemiologist in Philadelphia who studies pedestrian and bicyclist injuries in the U.S. and Latin America, here several evidence-based ways that Philadelphia can make walking, biking and getting around the city safer for everyone. https://t.co/8PUdERUX63
Dozens of cyclists and pedestrians are killed each year in Philly − an injury epidemiologist explains how to better protect bike lanes, slow drivers down and reduce collisions https://t.co/j4vtP9wyN4
@AnhPhuNguyen1@CaineArdayfio This is important privacy research, and I hope it has gone through appropriate human subjects review @HarvardResearch because that is also important for ensuring the privacy of human research subjects.
Led by @aquistbe this study evaluated the impact of a drunk driving intervention in Leon, Mexico. Evidence around effective interventions are vital given drunk driving is a major cause of road traffic injuries and deaths in Latin America https://t.co/MimE5VmnEA
Entre enero y julio de este año, Bogotá fue la ciudad preferida por los visitantes no residentes que llegaron al país. La localidad de #CiudadBolívar y su oferta de turismo comunitario, de lo más llamativo de la capital.

1) equity, 2) accountability & 3) environmental sustainability to address the global burden of injuries that cause 4.4 million deaths, 90% that occur in LMICs
How to strengthen local initiatives to address these risk factors. Equity of moto: SES, gender, sustainability - need more evidence from this region on these issues
Speeding was high above the speeding thresholds set - what interventions work - every city different; growth in motorcycle fleet, % moto among vehicles; higher speed among motos & >1/3 motos speeding #safety2024
