I spent the last 6 months making a videogame for my boyfriend’s birthday. Didn’t end up being able to keep the surprise, but the game turned out fun!
You play as Rocket, a cat who wakes up hungover at a friend’s apartment, without his phone, keys or any other belongings. The point of the game is to rush through bangalore and make it in time for your own birthday party xD
Because so much of our relationship is spend solving NYT puzzles together, each level is one platformer + one 2D puzzle.
Villains include uncles from chai kadas, neighbourhood aunties, and puke pools at Bob’s
10/10 best time highly recommend ✨

I looked at data from Indian elections to find similar-sounding candidates and analyze some of the different ways they show up. We then tried turning those similarity scores back into visuals which you can play around with. Illustrations by @ar_biese
