Osaka at DC Press room called Eala a Star ‘I don't know much about Alex, but I think she's incredible. I think she's a star, and it's just really cool to have someone like her that, I guess, people can look up to. For me, I think it's amazing that she's such an inspiration…
Instead of opening the file he sent, she chose to call him first. She even listened to the operator’s voice till the end. Not exactly how a psychopath would react. There was emotion, denial, and a small hope that Jaeoh might answer the call 🥲

Closing thoughts:
The ending of #QueenMantis features a two-year time jump, concluding with the discovery of Detective Choi's mutilated body, prompting Soo-yeol and Detective Kim to seek out JIS for help once more. This final scene effectively sets the stage for a potential 2nd season.
For what it's worth, I thoroughly enjoyed this show. While some criticism was directed at the perceived sloppiness of the investigation team, I find that portraying the human shortcomings and fallibility of authority figures is a common staple in crime procedurals, particularly in K-dramas. For me, the undeniable strength of this drama lies in the superb performances by Go Hyun Jung and Jang Dong Yoon. Their captivating mother-son dynamic was the core of the show, and I was particularly drawn to Soo-yeol's journey- from hating his serial killer mother and wanting nothing to do with her, to eventually understanding her trauma, accepting their bond, and finding peace within himself.
As I've noted before, the drama's central theme is a mother's love and the extreme lengths to which one will go to protect their child. Another reason I was drawn to this show is that it strongly reminded me of one of my favorite OCN crime dramas, "Bad Guys," which also involved forming a team of convicts to help the police track down a serial killer.
Ultimately, I would be open to a 2nd season - if only to see Go Hyun Jung deliver another masterful performance.
