🇮🇷🇶🇦 Why did #Iran attack #Qatar and not others? knowing that #US bases and soldiers are everywhere:

Most probably the #Iranians thought:

1) An attack on #Saudi Arabia would end the normalization, push #Riyadh into the arms of #Israel, and most probably push #KSA to join the escalation and respond to #Iran.

2) An Attack on the #UAE would not be less significant than KSA given Iran's vast economic and financial interests in #Dubai. [Also Abu Dhabi has most advanced anti-defense ThAAD system]

3) An attack against #Bahrain would undermine Iran influence over part of the Shiite population and further strengthen the government perspective regarding the Iranian threat. [Could still be an option but not a priority].

4) An attack against #Kuwait would probably shift its policies and push it towards #Saudi Arabia and undermining the Iranian influence there. US might have to respond also given the large np. of US soldiers there.

From this perspective, #Doha was the less costly option and they could still justify it from #Iranian perspective, knowing that Al-#Udaid base was already evacuated in advance, which means they anticipated no consequences of hitting it.

تأملوا حجم القواعد الأمريكية في #دول_الخليج و #العالم_العربي…
قواعد جوية وبرية وبحرية، وأحيانًا تواجد عسكري دون قواعد معلنة.
وهذه فقط أبرزها، لا كلها.
ومع ذلك، لا يُذكر سوى: “ #قاعدة_العديد_الجوية في قطر!”
فهل المشكلة في القواعد… أم في العيون التي ترى ما تريد مهاجمته؟
التهجم على #قطر ليس مبنيًا على حقائق، بل على ازدواجية المعايير.
وكلما اتخذت موقفًا مستقلًا أو دورًا مؤثرًا، عاد الخطاب ذاته: القاعدة، التحالف، الغرب…
الواقع أن دولًا كثيرة تحتضن تواجدًا أكبر، لكنها لا تُهاجم. لأن الهدف ليس القواعد… بل استقلال قرار قطر.
الحقائق لا تُؤلم… إلا من اعتاد أن يرى بنصف عين.
مجرد ملاحظة.. لمن يحب أن يفكّر لا أن يُهاجم!
