After months of research and collaboration, we are launching this week the Arab Watch Report 2025 on the Right to Water and Climate Change

This regional launch in Morocco will focus primarily on the national reports, case studies from North Africa, along side regional thematic reports, bringing together researchers, experts, and activists from Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, and Sudan.

The discussions will explore water governance, climate justice, development models, and the policies shaping access to water across the Arab region, through a human rights and social justice lens.

في 22 تموز/يوليو 2026، عقد معهدنا وكل من مبادرة الإصلاح العربي، وشبكة المنظمات العربية غير الحكومية للتنمية، ومركز حماية الطبيعة في الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت، ومنصة الفاعلين في قطاع المياه في لبنان، مؤتمراً بعنوان «إعادة بناء العدالة المائية في لبنان: الحوكمة والمساءلة ومستقبل المياه» تباحث خلاله باحثون وممارسون وفاعلون في المجتمع المدني في أزمة المياه في لبنان بوصفها مسألة حوكمة لا ندرة وحسب، وتناولوا الإخفاق المؤسسي، واستخدام المياه كأداة في سياق العدوان الإسرائيلي، والمسارات نحو مستقبل مائي أكثر عدالة وخضوعاً للمساءلة.
