🇨🇴 Colombian Activist Arrested by ICE Days Before Colombia’s Election
Beto Coral, a Colombian activist, content creator, and prominent supporter of President Gustavo Petro, was detained by U.S. immigration agents in Arizona on Tuesday, prompting allegations of political persecution days before Colombians abroad vote in the country’s June 21 presidential runoff.
🔸 Coral, who has a pending asylum claim and a U.S. work permit, was arrested by Homeland Security Investigations agents outside his home as he arrived with his young son, according to video shared by journalist Daniel Coronell, who spoke with him during the detention. Coral says an agent told him the arrest order came directly from U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, an account relayed by Coronell and a second activist. U.S. authorities have not publicly stated the reason for the arrest.
🔸 The timing has drawn scrutiny. Days earlier, Coral traveled to Miami to monitor overseas voting and protest right-wing presidential candidate Abelardo de la Espriella, a frequent target of his political activism. Hours before the arrest became public, de la Espriella posted: “There will be good news for Colombia and for patriotic Colombians abroad. Dura lex, sed lex (‘the law is harsh, but it is the law’)… Coming soon.” He has not said whether the post referred to Coral.
🔸 De la Espriella and his campaign account have also publicly tagged U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau while urging authorities to examine the immigration status of political opponents aligned with Petro. In one post, the campaign account suggested officials “take a closer look” at the status of another Petro ally in the United States.
🔸 U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno celebrated Coral’s detention, writing: “Have a nice life back in Colombia Beto!”
🔸 Petro condemned the detention as political persecution and said he had instructed Colombia’s foreign ministry to seek information and assistance in the case.
🔸 No U.S. authority has publicly stated the legal basis for Coral’s detention or possible deportation proceedings.
Claire Kerrison was arrested at 4:33am from her Brighton home for sending emails concerning 'israel's' genocide in Gaza to her MP Peter Kyle.
Four police officer raided her home on 17 June 2025. They seized her electronics. Held her for over eight hours with no one knowing where she was. Released her on strict bail. Charged her in late 2025 under the Communications Act.
The case dragged on for a full year. She faced multiple court hearings including not-guilty pleas.
The emails were described by those who read them as articulate and non-abusive— simply expressing horror at events in Gaza.
The man who triggered the police complaint? Her own constituency MP, Peter Kyle:
- Britain's trade minister responsible for arms exports to 'israel'.
- Long standing member and previous vice-chair of Labour Friends of 'israel'
Kyle has been accused of breaching the Ministerial Code by failing to declare his LFI membership in the official List of Ministerial Interests for 18 months despite the clear conflict.
The case was finally dismissed yesterday, with costs awarded to Claire Kerrison.
This is why British politicians who are paid/influenced by the 'israel' lobby must be banned from public office.

Hasan Piker: “I think Israel in its current formation, given that it’s a settler colonial operation that’s seeking out the expulsion or complete extermination of the indigenous population as an apartheid state, does not have the right to exist. It’s like saying does Nazi Germany have a right to exist”
When I was 6 years old, Israel dropped bombs disguised as toys on us in Lebanon.
New report reveals that Israel left behind bombs disguised as toys in Gaza.
Today, a cluster bomb shaped like a small football found in South Lebanon.
But keep talking about Israel not targeting children.
Destroyed Israeli tanks and military vehicles are being found by returning Lebanese in South Lebanon. They are telling a story that Israel and Western media wanted to suppress.

Today’s ruling to uphold the UK government's proscription of Palestine Action is a travesty of justice.
One by one, the very foundations of our democracy are being destroyed — all to oil the wheels of British complicity in genocide.
Our government has participated in the mass murder of Palestinians. That is the real crime, and we must bring about justice.
Gaza’s October “ceasefire” is one “in name only,” with May the deadliest month of 2026 and June on track to be worse. Drop Site MENA editor @sharifkouddous spoke to Al Jazeera’s Listening Post about Israel’s war on the press as the killing and massacres continue.
BREAKING: Stanford University graduates staged a walkout during Google CEO Sundar Pichai’s keynote address at commencement Sunday.
The walkout was organized by Students for Justice in Palestine and No Tech for Apartheid as a protest against Google’s contracts with the IDF, Dept. of Homeland Security, and ICE.
I was meant to meet Hasan in person, until our government banned him from entering the UK.
We met online instead to talk about the repression of Palestinian solidarity — and why we will never stop speaking out against genocide and apartheid.
