At a moment when Canada needs its premiers standing firmly behind this country, Danielle Smith once again seems incapable of resisting the urge to insert herself into the United States.

Albertans did not elect a U.S. governor. We elected the Premier of a CANADIAN province.

And after all the 51st-state rhetoric Canadians have endured, maybe somebody should remind her of that.

If Danielle Smith wants to spend this much time courting America, perhaps she should move there and run for governor.

Alberta is not the 51st state.
