Working in a school #Archive means doing all sorts of interesting & different tasks. Today, we digitised an old #Westbourne school choir cassette recording from June 1988.
We have quite a few old videos in our #Archive collection.
For today's #TriviaTuesday who can tell us where this was filmed? Hint, it is somewhere in Glasgow!
Westbourne School pupils, c 1960
@GlasgowAcademy
We digitised a collection of photos from the Greenock Burns Club some years ago which include a number of local women described only as Mrs (husband's forename and surname). This practice obscures their individual identity & makes research difficult.

For day 9 of #Archive30 the theme is #ArchiveAdvocacy
One of the best ways of raising the profile of a new archive is by having a social media profile.
We have been around for the last 3 years or so, maybe give us a follow!
When you are still a fledgling Archive, many of the items you find have #untoldstories to tell. Like this amazing photograph of North House from 1916.
Who created the decorated mount?
Who are all the people in the picture?
What are their stories?
So many questions!

And a #TapeboxTuesday bonus - this isn't really a tape box, but we wanted to share it as an oddity.
This is the Sony Easy Threader designed to help thread the end of a tape on to the take-up spool. This one is unusual because the threader is still present on the card.
