Why 7 and not 8? Unfortunately we still have some legacy applications that we've managed to upgrade to 7, but no further.

The thing that I found most valuable - and most generally underrated - from learning TDD 5 years into my career is the art of developing by making lots of small, targeted commits that each deliver an increment but leave the codebase deployable. Multiple commits per day.

I think one the things that frustrates programmers the most when learning #golang coming from languages like JavaScript or PHP is that there is no magic. I think of things like setting up BDD tests with Behat or Symfony and how much of the wiring is auto generated.

This is why unit testing is important.

Quick refactor broke a bunch of things, and in about 15 minutes had it all cleaned up.

Not only does it help save time, I've got the confidence in the code that everything should be good to go.
