The reason you would agree to sell stakes in your business broadly ( FIFA ) is too liquidate cash for other investments ( ideally )
Let’s say I sell 15% of my business for 100 Million. I would then take that excess liquidity and invest it into another business I other wise wouldn’t be able too if I had not sold the stake. I retain the equity and try to generate similar to more cash flow or achieve diversification.
Which brings me to this FIFA PE sale. You are taking money rn, which again isn’t the best value received, and giving it to FA’s currently. How many of them would utilize those funds to better the footballing foundations/facilities rn? Probs not a lot.
FIFA spreading out the money over years to federations makes much more sense and has a higher probability of those countries spending it wisely.
Obviously the point I’m making is the funds they would bring in RN would be misused and not properly allocated. Also you have the corruptions aspect to this and how some are getting bribed massively to accept. Let alone what happens to The World Cup and the increased monetization of the fans.
Maybe increase the profit share to the FA’s… but again can they be trusted considering the money is already allocated anyways. Makes me think the “leaders” of these FA’s just want to make money.
Aka corruption. #fifa
Friends in finance please check my numbers, but let's look at the price Infantino wants to sell the World Cup to the Trump mafia and others for.
• $4.2billion at a valuation of $20bn implies the sale of a 21% stake
• 11 days ago FIFA said it expected its 2023-26 revenues to ‘top $15billion’
• So that's $4.2bn to purchase 21% of ~$3.75bn of annual revenue. A multiple of 5.33x revenue
• In 2019, Silver Lake paid a multiple of 5.8x revenue to buy around 10% of City Football Group
• BlueCo paid a multiple of 4.9 to buy Chelsea in a UK-government-enforced sale
• Ineos paid a multiple of between 7 & 8 to buy 25% of Manchester United
• In 2025 a minority stake in MLS club Los Angeles FC sold at 7.9x revenue
• The company which owns UFC and WWE currently trades on a multiple of 6.2x revenue
• The last Major League Baseball franchise to change hands went for 5.3x revenue
• NFL's Washington Commanders recently sold for 10x revenue
• NBA's LA Lakers are in the process of being sold for ~16x revenue
The World Cup is the most popular sporting event humanity has ever developed. Some would argue it is our most important cross-cultural event.
As @rpmcomo often points out it has essentially zero acquisition costs for talent (compare that to other sports properties).
None of the football clubs above make anything vaguely approaching the profits of the World Cup, yet Gianni Infantino wants to sell football's crown jewel at a similar or lower valuation.
Either Infantino is stupid enough to be selling the World Cup at a price hugely under its true value, or he has a personal incentive to do exactly that...
We have Lavia, Fofana, Tosin & above all the Ownership/Sporting Directors…
All of whom are incompetent. Henderson + Welback will not change that, nor will Xavi Alonso. We are a club ran by unserious people, until that changes, the broader ethos of the club & direction won’t. I ask you again, where is our F.O.S sponser? Why have we missed UCL 3/4 years? How much money have we spent?
#chelsea
Xabi Alonso is driving Chelsea’s shift in recruitment. This is from his playbook.
Lessons from Leverkusen where they added role models and did the double.
"Our goal is not to have 25 players alike. You need different characteristics. Leadership guys."

Could have sangare + hall for rogers money. Much better squad planning. We have enough attacking output, didn’t need him. Nor is he worth 120, not even close to that amount. Henderson + Welback are signings to “act” like they know what they are doing. Where is the F.O.S ? Why do we need cover @ lwb, isn’t Denner available ? Chelsea have had the same issue in midfield for 3 years yet believe Lavia, so they sold santos & brought Henderson. Chelsea SD are not serious people, Joe shields how much money did you make from those city transfers ? I just want to understand the level of scamming going on inside my club. Don’t forget, Eghbali acting tough, he is doing “negotiations”…. 😭
- fire the SD, then we might go somewhere #chelsea
🚨 | Brentford are in advanced talks to sign Lens midfielder Mamadou Sangaré (24) in a €48m deal; Crystal Palace haven't given up the race to sign the Malian international and could outbid the Bees. (L'Eq)

Quick Thoughts
(CHE vs Sydney) Preseason
Negatives:
1. Josh needs to up his aggressiveness
2. Tosin & Delap are dogshit ( we know)
3. ^joe shields needs to be fired
4. Still can’t defend back post ffs
Positives:
1. The Reggie’s look legit
2. Satpayev looks legit
3. JBG ( preseason merchant ?)
4. Essugo, moving me fella
5. Sherman Lowe not bad
6. Palestra I see the vision
Manager Questions:
Imma need that Press to get way fucking better..
It’s pre-season, first game, fun match. Don’t take the things I said with a heavy hand other then Delap, Tosin, & Joe Shields
Onto Spurs.. #chelsea
This is a player I really looked into December of last season. For some fucking reason I can’t find my posts about him, this app is shit.
I really wanted him to come to Chelsea, especially since the Alonso announcement & Tactical Fit…
I wish him all the best, really exciting prospect that will be underutilized by this Sunderland Manager. Feckkkkk

🚨Exclusive Sunderland have reached an agreement with Dayann Methalie on a five-year contract. @RMCsport
Club-to-club talks with Toulouse are now ongoing to finalise the deal. Valued at around €30m, Methalie could become the most expensive sale in Toulouse FC history if the transfer is completed.
@Statford_Bridge I think the frustration for me lies that if welback comes, Jackson for sure looks like he is leaving bc a loan deal for emegha seems unlikely. At least Delap might be off 👌
@Statford_Bridge I have to be honest, I’m not too bothered with this move nor the welback news. They both proved value, more welback than Henderson ( I would choose somebody else ). They however need to buy another midfielder & cover Lwb. No stones I’m fine with because Acheampong room.
@CFCColeDancer Lewis hall is meaningfully better than Palestra, I’d rather have him all day over Marco and bring cover on the right. That’s not even a question
I do agree with this point. Chelsea have spent big on two positions that I believe didn’t need the resources ( LHS/RWB)…
You would have had enough output attacking wise with current players & a Kerim/Garnacho Swap.Palestra was a big price for a wing-back who can’t play in a 4 yet..
Judging the squad based on needs and sales so far, the only position filled was Centerback. Midfielder & LWB are positions of need in my eyes.
#chelsea #alonso
I never said Chelsea would be playing a 4 at the back ? I said Palestra can’t even play that yet, if we switch the formation he might not be as useful, something I expect us to do. Palestra is a good player, again, I would rather have somebody else be bought for cover on the right, with someone like pep for example as RWB and go out and buy a starting LWB…
You have gusto who can fill in, you have Quenda who can be an elite wing back.
Spending that 60 plus 10 for the likes of Lewis Hall would have been a better allocation, if he wants to come back. LHS could have been JP & Jackson 9 would have been more than enough.
Chance creation under Alonso with the level of talent we have won old be good, the other areas to improve where more ideal for….
Keep hearing room for one more splash..
okay then, why not left wing back! cover options are not available at the moment unless you want to overpay for mid ( Pep )…
More importantly, are u sure Hato can play LWB?
We have no Left footed CB cover, Wouldn’t it be best for Hato to cover both positions and buy starting LWB?
You can get a cheaper midfielder for less then 45 like Chema, Sangare, Kone to fill. I would really look into Lewis Hall or Alejandro Bale to fill this position #chelsea
