🇮🇳On the solemn occasion of the 27th #KargilVijayDiwas, #EasternNavalCommand conducted a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the 'Victory at Sea' War Memorial, RK Beach, Visakhapatnam, paying homage to the brave heroes of Operation Vijay who made the supreme sacrifice during the Kargil War.

Vice Admiral Susheel Menon, Chief of Staff, Eastern Naval Command, laid a floral wreath at the War Memorial, joined by Col V Samuel Prakash and Group Capt P Shyam Kumar, representing the Army and Air Force respectively. A ceremonial 50-men Guard was paraded, followed by a two-minute silence in honour of the courage, valour and selfless sacrifice of the Operation Vijay heroes.

🇮🇳 Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, #CNS, visited Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam from 10 – 12 May 26.

During the visit, the #CNS reviewed operational, training & administrative activities of the Command, and also undertook a day at sea to review operational aspects of the Eastern Fleet. He interacted with officers and sailors, commending their professionalism and dedication towards safeguarding national maritime interests.

As part of the visit, #CNS also engaged with Naval personnel and Defence Civilians during a “Fireside Chat” at Samudrika Auditorium, fostering candid discussions and constructive exchange of ideas towards enhancing operational effectiveness, welfare and motivation.

The visit reaffirmed the #IndianNavy’s steadfast focus on operational readiness, personnel welfare and greater connect with all ranks.⚓️
