@DanSamuals This is so true and so many people think poorly of themselves which leads to undesired outcomes. There is a book titled "unf**K yourself" that makes the case that we are wired to win but our unconscious self wins by delivering exactly what we believe about ourselves. Believe in U

Become an expert in at least 1 Amazon category. If you are doing retail arbitrage you should know what will sell good in that category before you even look at a keepa chart. Toys is a good one to start with since there are always new toys and they follow trends.
@DaleyFinancial I would have thought I had an idea 10 years ago. My salary has grown substantially and I have added side gig money on top of that but feel like I am barely keeping up with inflation. If I said 8k a month I feel like I would be needing it to be 10k a month 3 years from now.
@davidamzhustle The problem is not saturation as some suggest it is sellers not having any clue on how to manage their finances. Too many people make Amazon look easy on social media and new sellers race each other to the bottom to get their $100 investment back.
I have no intention on breaking out all the metrics you should consider or how Amazon weighs them but rather point out how important they are and how little many new sellers focus on them (new me included)
Going to make this a thread as I realized I should add more detail as to why I would do things different if I Could start over selling on Amazon
Things I would do different if I could start over selling on Amazon.
1. Get ungated in toys and grocery faster
Amazon gives you all the metrics they care about on your dashboard and if you keep them all within standards you will see more sales. If you don't they will not trust you with their customers (yes theirs not yours)
