Continuing with our festive vibes, our tree of the week this week is the Balsam Fir (Abies balsamea). The Balsam Fir belongs to the conifer family and is prominently found in the hilly mountains of Canada and the United States.

With the holiday season upon us, our tree of the week has to be a Noble Fir (Abies procera) which is always a popular choice of Christmas tree due to their symmetrical, strong branches.

It’s time for tree of the week! The Japanese Stewartia (Stewartia pseudocamellia) is a slow-growing tree which offers attractions for every season of the year.

ArborNotes tree of the week is the Coastal Coral Tree (Erythrina caffra). This tree blooms with beautiful red fruit during the winter months. Interestingly, Coral Trees are in the same plant family as legumes or peas.

With fall ending, we thought our tree of the week should be a Tamarack (Larix laricina) which is known for its beautiful needles that turn bright yellow before they fall. Tamaracks are deciduous conifer, one of only a few species of conifers that are not evergreen.

This tree of the week goes along with the spooky vibes of Halloween! The Weeping Willow (Salix babylonica) is an iconic tree that gets its common name from the way that rain looks like tears when it's dripping off the curved branches.

It’s tree of the week time! This week we chose Sugar Maple (Acer saccharum). The Sugar Maple is native to the hardwood forests of eastern Canada and the eastern United States. It is best known for being the primary source of sap that is used to make maple syrup.

Each week, our team chooses a tree of the week to learn about. This week is the Rainbow Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus deglupta). It gets its name from its smooth, orange-tinted bark that sheds in strips, revealing streaks of pale green, red, orange, gray, and purplish brown.
