@a_yomp@skeeyawww if you want to blame the men for encouraging her overindulgence then do it. it is their fault. but don’t use alcohol as a scapegoat because alcohol did not rape her. men did. the men USED her drunkenness as an easier access to rape.
@a_yomp@skeeyawww should i fear that i am “exacerbating” my chances of getting raped the next time i go out to a bar? should i no longer drink in public out of fear that i am “exacerbating” my chances of getting taken advantage of? you are purposely ignoring the implications of what you’re saying
@skeeyawww i guess i’ll add “having drinks with friends” to the list of things women shouldn’t do unless they want to get raped right under “walking alone in my own fucking neighborhood”
@skeeyawww to MAKE a problem worse. to MAKE. to create. to begin. to lead to. these are all synonyms of the word “cause.” you claim to believe that alcohol doesn’t cause rape but in the next breath stated that it MAKES the problem worse. maybe look up big boy words before you use it.
@skeeyawww someone being under the influence should not subject them to being rape. rape is not a punishment for overindulgence. rape is a violent act that is committed by rapists because they chose to rape someone.
@skeeyawww “ are you saying the fact that she was under the influence had no impact on the situation” yes. she was a girl raped by rapists, end of story. if you read the affidavit, you would know that the men were well aware of her state of mind and took advantage of her.
