Where There's a Will: Inspector Stone Mysteries #1
Inspector Stone is a refreshingly likeable main character: intelligent, resolute, generous—a detective readers will cheer for, and Carver’s novel is a perfectly paced page turner.

@smcgee30 Thanks, appreciate that. Anno 1800, don't think I know that one, is it the latest in the series? I'm sure I've played at least one Anno game.
Brain is being stupid and trying to convince me that I could manage to watch or listen to multiple things simultaneously, plus play a game and edit my book, allowing me to make better progress through my entertainment backlog.

Damn, I'm on my 4th editing pass and I've only just noticedI wrote the wrong gender at one point, I used his instead of her.
It's so annoying that these things slip past us despite multiple readings. This is why I'm glad to have other eyes on my book.
The Hiding is currently slightly discounted at Blackwells. So if you were considering buying a hardback, it's almost £3 cheaper there than on Amazon.
Don't know if they can give the discount if you order via a store, but worth checking. 👀
