Hello to our international @ARCboat user community! Got questions? Want to share images of @ARCboat and #ARCboatLite in action? Contact the @hrwallingford team.
Two days with informative lectures, interactive workshops, a visit to the Ship Simulation Centre and the autonomous survey vessel work of @hrwallingford. But also timely and practical discussions for the future of our industry.
#ARCboatlite#ADCP boat's eye view of Henley Royal Regatta course in all its glory.
Looking great for this week's Women's Regatta.
(No, we didn't map water speeds, just a demo for @STFC_Matters!)

How can we understand the impact of offshore developments on marine life? @ZacNashResearch of @BangorUni is using our #ARCboat to autonomously track marine life to understand their movements in a collaboration with @KESS_Central and @wefowales.

The ARCboat Lite was in action in Avonmouth Docks last week.
Our portable survey vessel acquired high-resolution bathymetric data while conducting a vessel demonstration for EDF.
Surveyors operated the remote-controlled vessel while staying safely onshore.
Our Emma Brown has appeared on BBC Midlands Today talking about #flood defences and #climate change. Our ARCboat also featured, along with shots of the Froude Modelling Hall.
The @bbcmtd programme will be on BBC iPlayer until 7pm today: https://t.co/M0otVtL3RH
A camera-equipped ARCboat has been out on the River Neckar in Germany taking river gauging and discharge measurements. We recently supplied the remote-controlled vessel to WSA Neckar, which oversees the waterway.

Our #ARCboat has been used by Zac in his research into autonomous fish tracking technology.
Zac is speaking at the Marine Autonomy & Technology Showcase 2020 on 10-12 November. The programme is at https://t.co/9Ase5YDQkb
Our #ARCboat is supporting leading-edge research into autonomous fish tracking technology.
@ZacNashResearch of @BangorUni has trialled new sensor arrangements in north Wales to help better understand fish migration routes and movement patterns.

George Woolhouse's new piece for #WorldEnvironmentDay2020 looks at how small island nations can create climate resilience in their water supplies.
He explores small island issues, explains a recent initiative, and expounds the benefits to other nations.

Fantastic performance from our new #ARCboatlite in perhaps the most challenging conditions so far...! 58 tonnes a second on R Teme, water speed almost 2m/sec. A brand new #ADCP on board too....! More, better river info to manage floods, droughts & everything in between.
Water as far as the eye can see on the River Trent at North Muskham. First time we have ever measured the entire floodplain flow with the @hrwallingford Arc Boat. @EnvAgencyMids River peaked just 0.25 m below the November 2000 Record.
With big brother #ARCBoat already out, time to see what #ARCboatlite can cope with.... Excellent performance on Thames, Wey & Jubilee rivers. R Wey at Guildford here, 33 tonnes water per second. 163 in Thames at Reading ... Looks fun. Is fun. Is also VITAL flood information.
These #ARCboatlite gauging videos seem popular, so here's another. But with a twist.... Which #ADCPNerd can spot my deliberate mistake while testing a new #ADCP today? These innovative tools transform efficiency & safety for our vital #Hydrometry river monitoring.
How much water can our brand new #ARCboatlite#ADCP#DroneBoat measure? No problem with 110 tonnes a second on the Thames! (A few days ago, flow has dropped since then...!)
@ThamesPathNT Boat is used to accurately monitor how much water is flowing down our rivers. To calibrate our flow gauging stations; vital for managing floods, droughts and everything in between. Tech developed by @hrwallingford with @EnvAgency
