The newly built Veshaw Girls’ Hostel was dedicated to the students, providing safe and well-equipped residential accommodation for over 300 girls. The IUST Community Radio 91.2 FM was launched to strengthen academic outreach and connect the campus with surrounding communities.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Tech Expo, showcasing innovative research and start-ups led by IUST’s young talent. These initiatives reflect the University’s growing focus on student welfare, innovation and community engagement.

Chief Minister today inaugurated the 20th Foundation Day of the Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Awantipora.
Speaking on the occasion, he reiterated the Government’s commitment to strengthening the higher education, skilling, and research ecosystems, enabling youth to play a leading role in shaping a progressive and knowledge-driven future for Jammu and Kashmir.

The Chief Minister also released the University’s Annual Report and witnessed the exchange of six MoUs with reputed institutions and industries. He further felicitated students who have brought laurels to Jammu and Kashmir in sports at the national level.
