If you haven't got any plans this coming Sunday why not join folks over at the ISSE conference, as they explore the burial pyramids of Poland, metaphorically speaking. Expertly guided by Anastasija Goliewskaja, who will discuss both design and histories of such Polish marvels.
Come and experience all the fun of the fair as researcher Matt Szafran investigates the influence of Egyptian cultural motifs upon theme park art and design. Rides open to the public Sunday afternoon, just after midday. Have you got your ticket? @archaeoresearch
I had the privilege to visit the @Cambridge_Uni Museum of Art and Anthropology for an object research session earlier this week.
This #Predynastic#Egyptian#palette will feature in a forthcoming article attributing palettes to specific workshops/craftspeople. #Egypt#Egyptology
WE’RE HIRING AN EVENTS TEAM! 🧡
Led by @Valent1boyer, this is a voluntary role, you’ll be working less than half an hour a week! No experience required! See thread for details 🧵
Public service announcement: Beware fake journal editors trying to get you to send them your articles! This was to my academic email address too, which I am very guarded of using, so someone has leaked it…
Maybe I should be flattered people want to steal my work?
#Predynastic#Egyptian#palettes were originally made between 4400 and 3200 BCE, however the story doesn’t stop there and there were workshops in the 19th and 20th Centuries re-carving Predynastic objects and more recently in the 21st Century creating replicas.
