“The symbiotic relationship between these two great institutions reveals the network of ministry and relationships that sustain our Church,” said @Elpidophoros at the 85th @ArchCathedral Gala, hosted in support of the Cathedral and in honor of L100: https://t.co/r0rFnmo6Ls
“Our All Holy Mother has fulfilled the promise of the Resurrection. That is why there is no relic of the Virgin’s physical form. It is all living in eternity, to show us that we will one day do the same as well. The only portion that remains is her sacred Ζώνη, plaited from her own hair, and enshrined today on the Holy Mountain of Athos.
Therefore, she lives in Heaven as a guarantee, a promissory note that we will live there, too, because we share the human nature with her, that she shares with her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. She is the confirmation of our own Resurrection, because she was raised up to manifest the love of God for all people. So, let us always run to her with eagerness and urgency, and ask her to supplicate her Son and God, for she is a mediator for the world.” His Eminence Archbishop @Elpidophoros
On this blessed #MothersDay, I find myself reflecting on the selfless love & wisdom of my own mother. Her faith has been my guiding light, her love, my strength. To all mothers, thank you for the love you give so freely. May God’s blessings be upon you today and always.
#InternationalWomensDay is a moment when we should pause and reflect on how we all can honor our mothers, sisters, and daughters. The contributions of women have such a vast range that, especially in the Church, we must seek greater inclusion so that their gifts manifest.
Celebrating the Sunday of Orthodoxy at the Sacred Center of our Faith, the Ecumenical Patriarchate, is a special privilege and honor. May we always preserve the Faith once delivered to the Saints, the Faith that has established the Oikoumene!
I continue to follow the reports of the tragic loss of so many in the horrific train crash in Greece. Let us open our hearts to grieve and offer comfort to the families, and pray for the eternal peace of the victims as well as the speedy recovery of the injured.
With Faith Leaders praying for Türkyie & Syria, we shine a light on how to live in harmony and raise awareness and bring aid. Please consider our Earthquake Relief Fund: https://t.co/tzYHNTfmut and bring the better angels of our nature to this unspeakable tragedy.
The devastating death toll in Türkiye and Syria means we must offer both prayers and tangible relief; hence, we have established a webpage for the @GOARCH Earthquake Relief Fund: https://t.co/tzYHNTfmut. Please share your blessings with those who are suffering. #DONATE
We must remember that the righteous among the nations did not allow the monstrosity of some to become the destiny of all. May the memory of all who perished during the Holocaust be eternal.

2023 has barely begun and we have already had 39 mass shootings in our country, with over 1200 gun deaths in the first 24 days of the New Year. We hear so much about the “right to life,” yet we deny life by allowing WMDs to abound. We must find a better way. All life is precious.
We mourn with all those affected by the horrific fire in the Bronx and pray for the souls of the lost. In loving our neighbors as ourselves, we must consider everyone as our neighbor. If you can offer help, please do at https://t.co/FhZo6BqqLE
My beloved sisters and brothers in Christ: may our #Christmas be filled with much joy and gladness, ever-manifesting the love of the Child of Bethlehem.
It is a profound blessing and an unspeakable joy that we welcome our spiritual father, His All-Holiness, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to America. We look forward to the ways he will show us a renewed and inspired vision of our faith during this Apostolic Visit.
I was pleased to meet with the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic @kmitsotakis and the President of the Republic of Cyprus @anastasiadescy to reaffirm our deep commitments to the unity of the Church and Hellenism, in Greece, Cyprus and our communities around the world.
Meeting with the internationally renown @S_Calatrava today, the design architect of the Saint Nicholas National Shrine, we reflected on the moment of lighting the Church for the 9/11 commemorations. Santiago has truly captured the spirit of his inspiration, Hagia Sophia.
St Nicholas stands before you today to tell the world that light will always shine on through the darkness, and the darkness will never overcome it! Faith will always triumph over doubt. Hope will always vanquish despair. And love will always conquer hate. #September11
The devastating storms in the East and fires in the West, effects of #climatechange, remind us of Patriarch Bartholomew's warning: "Each of us must become accountable for our slightest gesture and act in order to reverse the path that we are on." We pray for all who suffer.
“The ties between Eastern and Western Christianity were on full display Tuesday when the head of the Greek Orthodox Church in America visited with Utah’s top Roman Catholic leader.
