@Nigel_Farage Wouldn't it be a good idea for politicians to make parents get their kids off screens and back doing outdoor pursuits??? Then you might have less reliance on social media!
@CarersTrust I live in Staffordshire, as a male carer I can understand that men do not come forward for help.
I have made it my goal to get more men carers coming forward to share their thoughts by organising activities such as fishing, clay pigeon shooting and archery.
@SaffronKim I am a carer for my wife and at the beginning of covid, I started caring for my step dad. I was getting called out at all hours, even when he went into a home. He passed in April and I'm still waiting for the calls!! #Grief
@sarah37barr@CarersTrust I have in the past but where I live things are getting harder to claim for unpaid carers. Ask you local authority about a carer assessment
@carersweek As carers i think we are our own worst enemies!! We do what we do and hardly ever speak out. When you do (as I have in the past) we are then castigated as a trouble maker!!
@CarersTrust@YasminQureshiMP I asked for a carers assessment from staffordshire County Council to help me to get fit as I am a carer for my wife and stepdad who has dementia. All I was offered was Access to a couple of apps and a carers group!!!! SCC do not care fir carers!
@stokecity_SH Totally agree!!! That ref needs looking in to!!! We could of had two very nasty long term injuries and it seems to follow a pattern!!! ๐ก๐ก
@ariangel456@MaggieMobrules He had a nations and the world's sympathy poured over him. His brother lost the same mother and will grieve in the same way. There are many children whose childhood his cruelly snatched away from them and nobody gives a crap.
