Why's Wes Streeting suddenly pretending to care about the atrocities in Gaza, nearly three years too late?
1. Because it's his only hope of beating Burnham to become leader.
2. Because his silence on Gaza nearly cost him his seat at the last general election.
Don't be fooled.
An old video, but an important reminder.
Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch, now 100 years old, making his entrance at a Satmar anti-Zionist gathering before a massive crowd.
A reminder of a reality rarely shown by mainstream media:
Hundreds of thousands of Jews around the world oppose Zionism and reject the claim that the State of Israel represents Jews.
Judaism and Zionism are opposites

You are a shameless liar: Polanski is calling for a list of British citizens who have fought in a probable genocide & possibly committed war crimes & other atrocities to be compiled. This is what any civilised lawful country should do
This is the issue of our times. Trump's wars, Western support for genocide in the Middle East. We need proper opposition to the militarisation of society and the establishment’s support for war.
Our @ChrisNineham on why we must get organised. All to London on 20 June!
The next Prime Minister?
If Streeting’s leadership challenge succeeds, he would become the UK’s Prime Minister despite being unelected by the general public.
But would Streeting’s policies be shaped by British voters, or by the Israeli lobby?
Palintir
In Streeting’s final days as the UK’s health minister, the NHS granted mass patient data access to US software giant Palantir.
Beyond privacy concerns, this was controversial as Palantir has been flagged by Amnesty International for supplying the tech infrastructure used by Israel for its Gaza genocide.
Ties to an ex-politician in the Epstein files
In February 2026, text messages between Streeting and Peter Mandelson - the disgraced former ambassador and minister who appeared in the Epstein Files - were leaked.
Streeting was critical of Israel and feared “becoming toast at the next election”, although Labour sources told the Middle East Eye that Streeting engineered the leak to gain support.
Electoral backlash
During the 2024 General Election, Streeting almost lost his seat, Ilford North, to independent British-Palestinian candidate Leanne Mohamad, who was only 23 at the time.
Streeting narrowly survived by around 600 votes, reflecting widespread anger over Labour’s support for Israel in an east London constituency that is 32.5% Muslim.
Dismissing South Africa’s genocide case
At the end of 2023, South Africa launched a case at the International Court of Justice accusing Israel of genocide.
Streeting went on to describe that case as a “distraction”.
Gaza genocide
Despite being in opposition at the time, Streeting backed the then-Conservative UK government’s policy in support of Israel’s Gaza genocide starting in October 2023
Streeting echoed Israeli narratives by accusing Hamas of using schools, hospitals, and civilians as "human shields".
Visit to Israel
Streeting was the first member of Starmer’s shadow cabinet to visit Israel, on a trip entirely funded by LFI.
Following the "fact-finding" mission to meet diplomats and health experts, Streeting claimed Israel's medical infrastructure was a decade ahead of the UK's National Health Service (NHS).
Lobby funding
Since 2021, Streeting has received over £20,000 from Trevor Chinn, a tycoon awarded the Israeli Presidential Medal of Honour.
Chinn’s father was the president of the Jewish National Fund (JNF) UK, which has supported illegal Israeli settlements and paid over £1 million to a militia operating in the Occupied West Bank.
Labour Friends of Israel
Streeting is a prominent member of the influential Labour Friends of Israel (LFI) lobby group.
Insiders report that he maintains regular meetings with LFI leadership in Westminster.
Student president
Shortly after becoming National Union of Students (NUS) president in 2008, pro-Israel outlet the Jewish Chronicle described Streeting as “our friend at the NUS”.
The paper lauded his opposition to academic boycotts of Israel, and noted his support for the Union of Jewish Students, which is reportedly funded directly by the Israeli government.
Introduction
With the current UK Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, under pressure, Wes Streeting has resigned as health minister ahead of a leadership challenge.
Reportedly the favourite to replace Starmer, Streeting’s political career is deeply intertwined with pro-Israel lobby groups and donors.
Help throw the IHRA’s pro-zionist definition of antisemitism out of our health service!

The Mann review reinforces the IHRA ‘definition’ – ie, it seeks to stigmatise and victimise all those who speak out against zionist racism and genocide.
Israel is not a Jewish state
Jews are not a nationality
Judaism is an ancient religious collective.
Zionism is a nationalist movement created in 1896 by ppl who were pronounced atheists
They wanted to be called Jewish but without actually believing in Judaism
That's Zionism
