We might have acquired a more valuable skill in life than the one we originally set out to master.
This house is KSh 110,000,000.
All I’m saying is:
I can build in this style—and even better—at short notice.
Sometimes, your first aim is not where your greatest skill ends up taking you.

Congested high rise building going more than 20 floors up are actively coming up in Eastleigh Kenya.
I'm concerned about the parking, blocked sewer lines , water pipes, bottleneck roads and of course the dumping .
Not sure if it's another pipeline upcoming here..
Kenya still lacks a proper network of officially designated highway rest areas. This is a road infrastructure and planning issue that should largely fall under KeNHA for national highways.
A modern rest area is much more than a parking lot. It should provide:
Safe truck parking to eliminate the current practice of parking haphazardly along highways.
Clean toilets and bathrooms.
Food courts and convenience shops.
Children’s play areas and green spaces.
EV charging stations.
Tyre, mechanical and auto-spares services.
ATMs and banking services.
Fuel stations.
A small police post for security.
Even basic fitness facilities for long-distance drivers.
The government’s role doesn’t have to be running these facilities. It can provide serviced land—paved access, fencing, electricity, water and proper planning—then invite private investors to develop and operate them under clear policy guidelines, similar to how Special Economic Zones are planned.
Without incentives and a national policy, the private sector alone is unlikely to build a comprehensive rest-area network.
Congratulations to Supa Stop at Sultan Hamud for demonstrating what a modern highway rest area can look like. Kenya needs many more such facilities along its major transport corridors.
10. Adopt green building standards
New buildings and major renovations must meet minimum environmental standards to improve energy efficiency and support climate action.
