With a lot of cons and festivals getting rescheduled or cancelled as of late there's a lot of talk of how to support creators hurt by these events. So here's a thread on ways to support your favorite webcomic creators!

All Tapas comics on Archive Binge have been updated to the standard page crawler and are being crawled to update the page indexes now. Thanks for your patience!

[Archive Binge @archivebinge]

It woooooorks 😭 I'll work on updating all Tapas comics to the standard crawler today. Unfortunately the day job takes priority but this can be fixed without too much hassle.

[Archive Binge @archivebinge]

Ugh. Welp, working on fixing the Tapas crawler today I guess.

[Archive Binge @archivebinge]

Okay I think we're in luck and it looks like the default crawler might work on this! Going to test further but if that's true I will be very happy.

Plugging this resource created when SJ users had the rug pulled out from under them https://t.co/HDLTItGHy4

imo the Tapas changes are less egregious than SJ's, but a reminder that you only control the website you host your comic on if you literally control the website.

[ComicArtistsUnite @comicartistchat]

Every Wednesday, we will do a shout-out for webcomics. You can even share your own webcomic! So if you're creating one or have a favorite webcomic, share it with us by using the #comicartistsunite on your posts!

[Archive Binge @archivebinge]

@AdblockPlus Yup. It sure is. Thank you for looking into it.

[Archive Binge @archivebinge]

Minor update to fix the issue in which the Twitter and Facebook login buttons don't show up if Adblock Plus's "Block social media icon" option is on.

[Archive Binge @archivebinge]

AB widgets embedded on your comic site can now be fully styled with CSS (target the .ab_widget.ab_override class). Thanks to eishiya for that feature!

Also minor change that will, in theory, speed up page loads in the reader in browsers that support prerender.

[WebcomicLibrary @WebcomicLibrary]

Webcomics Thread! This one is boosting peeps whose comics have been affected by the @smackjeeves update. Are you staying on the site? Are you moving? Reply to this post with your new comic links!

Retweets are appriciated!

[Archive Binge @archivebinge]

@AdblockPlus Here's a doc with screenshots and simple steps to replicate the issue in Chrome with Adblock Plus: https://t.co/YlwB6XXeJw

I've set up the dev site, linked within, so you don't need to muck around with inspect element to replicate.

@ColinMooreDraws Awww thank you :'D

[Archive Binge @archivebinge]

Help a #webcomic friend out! @WebcomicLibrary @WebcomicUpdates do you know of any? Thank you!

[Archive Binge @archivebinge]

@CapnPear Nothing I can think of off the top of my head unfortunately, but I would be happy to signal boost this aimed at some other webcomic groups that may have something!
